Red, White, and Blue

This Fourth Of July, I had plenty of fun both making and decorating these special cupcakes. I tried some new things, too. One new thing I tried was Sugar Sheets! from Wilton. it was funny working with it. Enjoy!

I made vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting. The blue on top of the frosting was spray-on color from Wilton.

"Girls, come this way, we'll go meet Michelle, who wrote the movie." Mrs. Lilac hurried them along. "Is she nice?" Winter asked. "Oh, of course! You'll love her." Replied Delancy. "Oh, good!" Sighed Winter. "Here we are." Sunshine nudged her friends. Inside the office sat a tall, blond, lady about 18 years old. She turned to smile at them. "Hi," she said. "I'm Michelle." The girls smiled again. Even more fun!

Riley Brookside looked at her friends, Winter falls, Mary-Ann Summers, and Hope Sends. They were at the cupcake bakery they owned.''Okay, guys, we are allowed to accept the offer to star in the movie Cupcake, do we agree to act in our first movie?'' Riley said to her friends.''YES!!!''they all shouted at once. Later,about one week, these girls are headed straight into a mess...''Are we almost there?'' Hope asked Riley, who was driving them to the place the movie would be shot in. A sporty-looking girl greeted them when they arrived.''Hi,''the girl said as they walked over to her.''My name is Sunshine,'' she said.''Sunshine Sparkles.''''Nice to meet you, Sunshine,''Mary-Ann replied cheerfully, so Sunshine and Mary-Ann became instant friends.''This is your stylist,''Sunshine said, nodding for a girl with red hair to come over.''My name's Delancy, nice to meet you.''she said, a small smile crossing her face. Just then, a tall lady with red hair came over. ''Oh,'' Delancy said,''This is my mom,''she said.''Nice to meet you all,''Delancy's mom said.''You can call me Mrs. Lilac.''she said.''I'm going to direct your movie,''all the girls smiled. This was going to be fun!

Skipper smiled.''Yes, two new friends!" Hannah laughed.''Too true!".        NOW WE SHALL SEE DAKOTA'S VIEW OF THIS ALL..........Hi! My name is Dakota Winters,and I'll share my many adventures with the Cupcake Club with you. I yawned and looked at my schedule. ''I take the morning shift at the front while the girls bake in the back,'' I told my mom when she asked why I was up so early.''That sounds like fun,''she told me as I sat down at the kitchen table. My dog, Cocoa, trodded downstairs to say good morning.''How are ya doin, Buddy?" I asked him. I had a habit of calling him ''Buddy'' lately. I was about to bite into the yummy omelette with bacon Mom made me, but my iPhone buzzed.''Ugh,''I told Mom,''Who invented iPhones?" I  picked it up and saw that it was from Rose. Hey, u r late! She emailed to me. She was in to making words short. Sorry, must've Slept in again ;-) I emailed back, turning my annoying iPhone of. I finally bit into my now-cold omelette. After I wolfed down breakfast, I headed upstairs to shower. Phew. Now you see why I have been fired from five jobs. And after that, I pulled my neon red hair hair (yes, my hair is so red it looks fake.) into two high, bouncy, pigtails. I grabbed my backpack which held all my recipes and tossed on my back, grabbed Cocoa's leash, put him on the end of it, said Good-by to Mom, grabbed my iPhone, and raced out the door.     Next time: Continued: Dakota's story

Skipper yawned and looked at her clock."12:00 o'clock,"she mumbled."Wait, WHAT?"she yelled, jerking awake. Then she looked at the temperature. 150 degrees. Oh-no, she thought, Bob's cupcake display! Ms. Flourine's pupcakes! Skipper jumped out of bed, grabbing her jeans and T-shirt."No, no, NO!"she shouted, running down the stairs at top speed, only to bump into her dad."You look worried,"he said."Yup, sorry, can't talk now!"she politely yelled. Skipper quickly got ready for the day, grabbing her phone, speed-dailing Rose...it was going to be one long day!"What is it, Chica?" asked a sleepy Rose."No time to waste,Rose, call Hannah and come to my house!"when all three girls got there, Bob's "Chocolate cookie cupcakes were fine. But when they got to Ms. Flourine's display,it stood there, looking...fine! All three girls sighed with relief, only to have Skipper's phone ring. After she set the phone down, she took a deep breath."we are to meet someone at the mall,"she said."they've a surprise for us." First time

I accomplished something I am very happy with. I made carrot cupcakes with ginger cream cheese frosting without any sugar or a recipe.

Buttercream frosting:The Recipe

This recipe is simple to make and tastes great. Ingredients:2 sticks 3 tbs butter,4 cups confectioner's sugar,1 tsp vanilla,and 1 dry cup measurer milk.INSTRUCTIONS:Use a electric mixer on low speed to combine sugar and butter.when it looks like it will never combine together,add the vanilla and a small amount of milk and crank the machine to high speed.when everything looks combined,taste to  make sure everything came out right. Pipe or spread onto cupcakes as desired. Enjoy!!!!

The Oreo Cookie Challenge

Welcome back to S.S.F. The story:Me and my Mom decided to face off in a battle of sugar and frosting to see whose Oreo cookie cupcake was better. I went straight forward:I did an Oreo cupcake.

Caramel Cupcakes

Caramel cupcakes! That sounds good as much as it looks good, as you can see! I made caramel cupcakes with buttercream frosting and, as a garnish as well as inside of the cupcake, caramel.

I started out with mixing the batter, wich proved to be tricky. After working with the batter, I made the caramel, which took a while. Then, I baked the cupcakes in the oven. Soon, I had made the frosting, decorated the cupcakes, and ate them.
